Soup Kitchen

Some families cannot afford to feed their children properly, so the children are often sick and don’t attend school regularly. To keep them healthy and assist their studies, CLS provides a nutritious lunch for 30 to 40 students five days per week. We also teach these students basic cleanliness and hygiene, and provide medical assistance when necessary.

Vegetables from our Agriculture Program contribute to the food supply for the Soup Kitchen.

Strategies

  • Provide a healthy lunch 5 days a week to 30 to 40 students from at-risk families
  • Give these same students health and hygiene education and medical assistance
