Sport

CLS encourages all students to play and to develop their physical skills. It has a playing field which students from both the CLS Learning Centre and the neighbouring government school use for games and for formal sports. They are also there playing on weekends when there is no school. And the playing field is used for larger events attended by officials and members of the wider community.

The CLS sports program is run in conjunction with the neighbouring government school. Teams of  both boys and girls train on the sports field and participate each month in inter-school and inter-community football matches.

Sport, informal play, and the associated use of our playing field enrich our teaching program and our community engagement. And they encourage children to come to school for the fun they can have outside classroom hours.
