A limited number of scholarships are awarded each year to children from impoverished backgrounds, who are selected on the basis of need. These help them to attend school by assisting these students with uniforms, school supplies, a bicycle, some basic medical needs if necessary. The scholarships also allow them free English lessons at the CLS Evening School.

A scholarship for a child to attend school costs just US$ 20 per month.

UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIPS

CLS also provides scholarships to promising students  to cover fees for university or vocational training college. Some of our former students are currently at University studying courses in Teaching, Engineering and Pharmacy. A few of our current teachers are former CLS students. They feel privileged to have received a good education and are happy to give back to the community from which they come.

A scholarship to attend university in Kampot costs around US$ 600 per year, or $ 50 per month. Most courses are of 4 years’ duration.
